   a) Click Start Menu

5. What do you know about file with .com extension ?

  # In many computer operating systems, a COM file is a type of executable file; the name is derived from the file name extension .COM. Originally, the term stood for "Command file", a text file containing commands to be issued to the operating system (similar to a DOS batch file), on many of the Digital Equipment Corporation mini and mainframe operating systems going back to the 1970s.[1]

With the introduction of microcomputers, the type of files commonly associated with the extension .com changed; in 8-bit CP/M, and later in MS-DOS and compatible DOSes, they are binary executable files by convention. Executables in the COM file format do not necessarily need to have the file name extension .COM in any but CP/M and very early versions of MS-DOS.

The .COM file name extension has no relation to the .com (for "commercial") top-level Internet domain name. However, this similarity in name has been exploited by malicious computer virus writers.

1.Explain how to change a desktop background !
   Monitor setting can be done by double-cliking Personalization icon inside the Control Panel. The computer will display a window as shown in Figure:

Backround is a picture on the dekstop. Other picture can be use as photos or the sceneries. Choose Dekstop Backround to set as the picture. Wait until the window shown in figure:

Subsequently, choose a picture to set as the backround. If you do not wish to have a picture at the backround display on the monitor, the picture can be eliminated by choosing Solid Color in the Picture Location options, and then choose the color as a backround.
2. What is the use of a screen saver ?
   @Screen Sever is to maintain the monitor display. Screen saver is to protect the screen from electron that jumpsin high speed because of the magnetic and electric field effect inside the monitor tube. 
3. Name and explain briefly the device that can enhance the picture quality !
     #Besides the monitor, another device to support the display quality is VGA card (a graphic card).
   The resolution will be higher when using a non-on-board. (outside the motherboard) VGA card, which      based on AGP (Accelerate Graphics Port) or PCI Express
# Microsoft Paint. Drawing is exciting, especially for those of us who are hobby of drawing.# Adobe Photoshop is a graphics software that provides the tools are related and arranged in easy and interesting to create the innovation in the form of a bitmap image and a good script. Base on  shape vector graphics and text can be transferred to image -based pixel designs to get a better effect.
#Corel Draw 
This graphics program big influence on the development of computer design, especially in the manufacturing of invitation cards, liflet, brochures, posters, and other images. So for businesses, especiallythe advertising usually provided always program Corel Draw.

4. What is the advantage of managing file ?
- *Help us find a file/folder with spesific criteria
  *If there are too many files in the computer, it will be hard to search or to identify those file. Therefore, it is important to organize file in the computer, by using the file manager.
5. How to cancel a deletion in the Recycle Bin ?
 @ Choose the Recycle Bin icon on the Folder panel.
 @ Chose the file or folder to cancel the delection.
 @ Next, from the menu abobe choose Restore this item or by right clicking the file, choose Restore.
6. Name and explain briefly about the the control size buttons !
They are buttons to adjust the window size of Microsoft Word. There are three control size buttons, namely:
a. Close, to close the window.
b. Restore, to re-show the previous size window.
c. Minimize, to hide the window.

  @ Autoplay => To run an application from CD, DVD, or flash disk that is inserted to a computer.

    *Print Preview, to view the print layout
    *Print Preview to preview and make changes to pages before printing.
8. What icon is used for writing mathematical equations or formulas ?
    *Equation Edition, to insert an mathematical equations / a formula (Formula Bar).
9. Describe the steps to create page numbers !
 @ Click the Insert tab.
 @ Click Page Numbers until the page number location option appears.
 @ From those options, we determine the page number position, for example to put the page number on the bottom of the page, choose the Bottom of Page (Footer). Then, choose the preferred format.
 @ To set the number format, click the Insert tab then click Page Numbers then choose the Format Page Number icon until the Page Number Format dialog box appears.
 @ To choose the numbering format, click the arrow below the Number Format and set the numbering format.
 @ Click the OK button to close the Page Number Format dialog box.
 @ Click OK to finish the page number and its format setting.
10. how to set a distance among sentences ?
 @ Select the text to be set.
